Automobili Pininfarina has released the first official image of the model of the electric hypercar PF0 in addition to the figures of Luca Borgogno, head of the brand’s design, which we have already published. The brand has done the program of private viewings in Pebble Beach during the Monterey Car Week in California. “Numerous design icons from Pininfarina’s incredible history have won awards at Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance, so I am excited to present a future Pininfarina classic to prospective owners in close proximity to this famous event”, said Michael Perschke, Automobili Pininfarina CEO.
“We have some great feedback from clients who have owned numerous Pininfarina-styled supercars. We know we are on the right track and we will now return to Europe to deliver on our aim of producing the world’s most beautiful, innovative and rare hypercar” concluded the CEO. The design of the PF0 is being developed by the Pininfarina SpA Design Studio, and future owners will be delighted that PF0 will be hand-crafted in Cambiano, Italy by the Pininfarina SpA atelier in strictly-limited numbers from 2020. The hypercar will be officially unveiled at 2019 Geneva Auto Show.
“As with Pininfarina cars of the past, PF0 has to stand-out in an emerging sector – beauty and performance to make your heart skip a beat. You can see that impact in the PF0 rear view treatment where the car’s performance potential is functionally defined by dramatic wings, and its beauty highlighted by the overall form – purity and elegance of design has not been lost to the battle for downforce or cooling”, said Luca Borgogno, Automobili Pininfarina Design Director.
