Less than 100 days to go until the launch at the Geneva International Motor Show 2019. Following the successful private viewing at Pebble Beach in August for potential buyers, the final tweaks are now being made to the design at Pininfarina’s Centro Stile in Cambiano as the PF0 by Automobili Pininfarina prepares to make its long-awaited début.
Although everything about this powerful electric hypercar designed and engineered by Pininfarina S.p.A. for Automobili Pininfarina (a company based in Munich and wholly owned by Mahindra&Mahindra) is top secret, the press review offered us a glimpse of its fluid – almost water-like – lines and original aerodynamic solutions, a perfect balance of beauty and performance, in true Pininfarina style.
Production will commence in 2020. The PF0 will be built by hand at the Pininfarina body shop in Italy and production will be limited to just 150 units. Former Formula 1 racing driver Nick Heidfeld has joined the team to develop the vehicle dynamics programme, which should deliver staggering performance: acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2 seconds, and from 0 to 300 km/h in 12 seconds.
