A day dedicated to Tom Tjaarda and his design work for automotive design. Thursday, June 20 2019, the courtyard of the Circolo Del Design in Turin hosts a temporary exhibition of three historic cars designed by the Dutch designer and, from 6:30 pm, a talk to tell his life and his professionalism.
The talk to retrace the life of successes and professional awards that make Tom Tjaarda one of the most famousa automotive designers field: a total of 84 vehicles designed, most of them characterized by a sporty line, dry, contemporary and suitable for high speeds. Tapered, aerodynamic, elegant cars with attention to every detail: yellow and red arrows that have populated the catalogues of the most important Italian and foreign car companies for years. During the talk, the winners of the Tjaarda Design Award competition will be presented.
