The Porsche 911 Turbo and 911 Targa, two legendary models from the 70s and 80s, are now available in Lego versions. The new two-in-one Lego Porsche 911 Turbo and 911 Targa set can be built as either a 911 Turbo with a fixed roof or as a 911 Targa with an open roof, allowing fans to choose between classic coupé or cabriolet styling. Beneath the elegant silhouettes, Lego Porsche 911 Turbo and 911 Targa conceal a wealth of detail. In both versions of the model, the 2+2 sports seats and the dashboard are finished in dark orange and nougat, an eclectic colour combination based on the current upholstery variants available for the Porsche 911.
Other interior details include the handbrake, gearstick and functional steering, while the front seats tilt forward for access to the rear seats. Several details typical of the Porsche 911 Turbo or 911 Targa are included in the set, ensuring that both models, when built, are well characterised and distinguishable from each other. The Lego Porsche 911 Turbo sports the Turbo badge, a wide rear axle, turbocharger and intercooler, denoting its exceptional performance. Its sporty appearance is complemented by an integrated rear wing.
The roof of the Lego Porsche 911 Targa, on the other hand, is completely removable and can be stored under the bonnet. The iconic Targa Bar completes the look, along with the Targa logo and the rear window wrapped in bricks. “Owning a completely new sports car is an experience to be savoured, and that’s the feeling we wanted to recreate for Lego fans,” commented Mike Psiaki, Design Master at Lego Group.
