The mischievous look of the Renault 5 of the 1970s can be found in the R5 Prototype unveiled in January, which recalls its successful ancestor in many ways. Nicolas Jardin, responsible for the prototype’s exterior design, explains in a video how he managed to reinterpret the famous look of the original Renault 5 in a modern way, starting with its look that convinced a highly diverse audience for the time. And it is from here that the design team led by Gilles Vidal set out to create the R5 of the future.
