Porsche has unveiled the Taycan Cross Turismo, a 100% electric sports car with shooting brake architecture. The car is Porsche’s second zero-emission model after the Taycan four-door saloon-coupé. The new model builds on the Mission E Cross Turismo concept car presented in 2018 at the Geneva Motor Show.
Its silhouette is characterised by a sporty roofline that slopes downwards at the rear, called a ‘flyline’ by Porsche’s designers. The off-road design elements can be found in the wheel arch profiles, the exclusive front and rear sub-bumpers and the distinctively shaped side sills. For the Cross Turismo, the Off-Road Design package includes special fins at the corners of the front and rear bumpers and at the ends of the sills. These make the exterior look more striking, as well as protecting the bodywork from being struck by stones.
Specially for the Taycan Cross Turismo, Porsche has developed a rear rack that can accommodate up to three bicycles and sets a new standard in terms of size and practicality. It can be used for different types of bicycles. One of its innovative features is that it allows the tailgate to be opened even when it is loaded. Porsche is also presenting two high-quality e-bikes: the eBike Sport and the eBike Cross. With their timeless design and efficient, sustainable drive technology, they are perfectly suited to the Taycan Cross Turismo.
