An electric concept car paying tribute to the famous Opel Manta of the 1970s and the 1971 Elektro GT prototype. The Opel Manta GSe ElektroMOD reinforces the growing phenomenon of “restomod”, a trend that fascinates car enthusiasts and collectors who transform icons of the past into new and original styling and technological solutions. The electric Opel Manta GSe ElektroMOD with fully digital instrument panel is as sporty as a real Opel GSe and has a name that underlines all its ambitions. “MOD” stands for modern technologies and a sustainable lifestyle and is an abbreviation of the word “modified”. “Elektro” recalls the Opel Elektro GT which set world records for electric vehicles 50 years ago.
The Opel Manta GSe ElektroMOD is also a tribute to the beautiful Opel Manta which was the source of inspiration for the design of the brand’s new face, the Opel Vizor, which organically integrates the grille, lighting system and the Blitz, the brand’s emblem, into a single module. The new Opel Crossland and Opel Mokka are already equipped with the Vizor, which will be a hallmark of all future Opel models.
