The new BMW 2 Series Coupe is designed to achieve great driving pleasure and sportiness with dynamic design, powerful engines and sophisticated chassis and trim technology. Three-dimensional surfaces, triangular shapes and diagonal lines shape the front of the 2 Series Coupe. Sharply flared wheel arches and a muscular power dome in the center of the hood provide a clear indication of the dynamic driving characteristics of the 2 Series Coupe. The Bmw double-kidney grille has a horizontally developed design and features vertically arranged air deflectors in its center instead of the classic bars.
The standard LED headlights are positioned on the outside of the front and, inspired by the legendary Bmw 02 models, have a unitary circular design. A long hood, short overhangs and a set-back cabin – the rear of which rests on strongly flared wheel arches – characterize the side view of the car. Large glass areas, a dynamically swooping roofline and a short trunk lid culminating in a pronounced spoiler edge are other identifying features of the compact sports model.
Sharp lines give the surfaces a defined athletic appearance. Pronounced horizontal surfaces structurally define the powerful rear end. The rear lights are obscured – positioned at the outer ends of the rear – have compact contours. Their surfaces are formed by light clusters with three-dimensional sculpting. Design features tailored to M Sport cars and the BMW M240i xDrive Coupe enhance the feeling of dynamism.
The driver-focused cabin design and modern control panel on the center console accentuate the car’s sporty character. The standard equipment of sports seats and a sporty leather steering wheel also contribute to a totally engaging driving experience. The tapering of the rear of the roofline, the high center console and the harmoniously blending surface treatment of the instrument panel and hatches create an enveloping feeling around the driver and front passenger.
