A new high-performance model, a bridge between past and future. Bertone returns to the scene with the GB110, a new hypercar that will be produced in a limited production run of just 33 units and celebrates 110 years since the founding of the Bertone coachworks. The mid-mounted engine is capable of delivering more than 1,110 horsepower and is powered by alternative fuels, while the car’s weight is limited to 1,520 kilograms thanks to the use of lightweight materials.
Styling is one of the focal points of the project and the designers wanted to recall many of Bertone’s most famous coachbuilding projects, from the Alfa Romeo Carabo to the Lancia Stratos Zero to the Lamborghini Marzal to the more recent Nuccio. The GB110 appears well-proportioned, with a pointed, highly sporty front end with several apertures functional to aerodynamics and LED headlights flanked by a three-element light signature.
According to Bertone, the design of the car was created exclusively according to functional requirements and eschewing unnecessary purely stylistic frills, in keeping with the Turin coachbuilder’s tradition. The GB110 will be the first in a series of special models to be presented over the next few years.
