Grupo Antolin, a global supplier of technological solutions for car interiors, presented its new virtual concept car Antolin Vivar. Taking as its inspiration the figure of the local hero of Burgos (Spain), Rodrigo Diaz de Vivar, El Cid, one of Europe’s most famous medieval knights, with the colours and materials of the landscape of the same region, this concept car aims to showcase Grupo Antolin’s innovative ideas. The interior is modern and spacious: the designers worked to achieve maximum customisation of the cabin, as it was designed for cars that can also offer autonomous driving.

The seats can rotate, while the console slides and the swivelling mobile display on the dashboard area can be dedicated to driver or passenger depending on the driving mode chosen. Spotlights installed in the cockpit ceiling and door panel can be removed or moved to provide more direct light when and where needed. The Antolin Vivar incorporates innovative technologies: an artificial intelligence voice assistant, wireless charging panels spread throughout the cabin, a state-of-the-art infotainment system and diffuse lighting for a particularly dynamic effect.

A high level of thermal and acoustic comfort has been achieved through the implementation of intelligent techniques such as automatically dimmable windows, noise cancellation or ‘visual temperature’ through the use of different coloured lights to influence the warmth sensations of occupants and passengers. For the sustainability chapter, in addition to the application of natural fibres for the seat upholstery and cockpit ceiling, the instrument panel features a natural air and odour purification system. The armrests of the door panels are covered in bamboo fabric, while recycled wood was used for the decorative parts of the interior.
