Ram Truck presented at 2023 Ces the Ram 1500 Revolution electric concept, a vehicle that opens a window on the future of the American brand of the Stellantis group. The model features a wide range of innovative elements that will characterize Ram pickups in the future, especially as part of the journey towards electrification. The exteriors are both brutal and impactful. An animated and restyled “R-A-M” badge stands out on the front, while the LED headlights have the shape of a tuning fork. The doors open against the wind and open to show a large passenger compartment from which the B pillar has disappeared.
The concept features smaller and lighter side mirrors and made of 3D printed materials to ensure better aerodynamics and less friction. The reduction in size is made possible by the use of a digital video camera that captures images of the surrounding environment. The charging socket lights up and flashes while charging. An acoustic signal indicates that the plug is inserted and that charging has begun. The port features a level 1 and 2 AC charging socket on the top and a DC fast charging socket on the bottom of the charger. Signature Ram design details for increased capability include a multifunction power liftgate and larger RamBox. Bold hourglass bodywork and fenders make way for 35-inch tires.
Dubbed the “one space environment,” the Ram 1500 Revolution BEV concept consists of a continuous space that runs from front to back, allowing the interiors to be configured in many different ways. The one-space theme is underlined by the new interior layout, which offers greater flexibility and the possibility to set up a workstation or to adapt the vehicle for the next adventure. To ensure maximum flexibility, the center console can be removed to offer even more space and if necessary, its armrests can be transformed into a work surface. The interior of the BEV Ram 1500 Revolution concept the tuning fork motif decorates the entire dashboard extending in a continuous line up to the midgate. A touchscreen display consisting of two monitors offering up to 28 inches of screen is the central element of the interior full of advanced technological solutions. The lower display can be used in three different positions, depending on the need and can be removed and placed in different areas of the vehicle.
