Cadillac presented the Sollei concept, an elegant convertible with futuristic retro lines reminiscent of the legendary American luxury convertibles of the past. The Sollei is, in fact, an all-electric 2+2 open-top car, with a 55-inch scenic screen that stretches across the entire dashboard, a breathtaking interior, and active exterior lighting through choreography that welcomes or greets passengers. ‘Solleti reinvents the discovery of travel, imagining a personalised driving experience that connects the individual to the natural world around them,’ said Erin Crossley, Cadillac’s design director. “The concept celebrates Cadillac’s pedigree of elegant convertibles in a modern form by cultivating luxury through expressions of design and experience.”
Sollei is the first Cadillac concept to use a material of biological origin developed in collaboration with MycoWorks. It is found in the charging mats on the console and in the door storage pockets and is Fine Mycelium derived from mycelium (the renewable vegetative apparatus of fungi). The interior of the luxury convertible reflects Cadillac’s ‘art of travel’ design philosophy, elevating the travel experience for both driver and passenger. Features include a drinks fridge with an electric glass door and crystal glasses.
