Audi unveiled the A6 e-tron, an electric flagship in Sportback and Avant body styles and the second model based on the EPP platform. The two models represent the evolution of the e-tron design. One example? The sharp styling of the daytime running lights and the wide single frame, complete with a black surround, reinforce the cars’ generous footprint on the ground. The headlamps, front air intakes and other functional elements, such as the ADAS sensors, are integrated into the dark-coloured front mask.

The side view is strongly characterised by the continuous shoulder line, muscular wheel arches and pronounced quattro blisters. The black inserts emphasising the location of the battery extend as far as the rear reflectors, while the short overhangs and long wheelbase are matched by the clean lines at the rear, distinguished by the light band that seamlessly connects the light clusters. No less muscular is the station wagon variant, with a side view characterised by steeply sloping D-pillars and a roof spoiler. The wheel range includes solutions from 19 to 21 inches, while the colour palette, at launch, consists of eight shades.

Particular attention has been paid to aerodynamics, which is particularly important when it comes to 100% electric cars as low air resistance has a direct effect on range. The Sportback variant can count on a CX of just 0.21, at the top of the E-BEV segment and the best value in the history of Audi and the entire Volkswagen Group; the Avant configuration deviates by only 0.03 points. Reduced aerodynamic resistance has benefits for the car’s efficiency but also for its styling, which becomes more minimalist and pure.

The dashboard is characterised by the ‘Softwrap’, the soft-touch covering that extends seamlessly from the door panels to the dashboard to the console area, creating a ‘cocoon’ effect, and the innovative Audi Digital Stage. The digital stage, specifically, consists of the 11.9-inch Audi virtual cockpit and the 14.5-inch display of the MMI system as well as the dedicated passenger screen. The panoramic MMI display is characterised by its curved design and OLED technology. The curved shape ‘envelops’ the driver and evokes the lines of the single frame.
