The new Škoda Elroq features compact exterior dimensions, a distinctive shape and clean lines. The model ushers in a new styling era for Škoda called Modern Solid: ‘With the new Elroq, our Škoda design team has succeeded in preserving and reinterpreting key Škoda design elements, combining them with new ideas and visual accents, such as the Tech-Deck Face in glossy black – said Oliver Stefani, head of design at Škoda -. Modern Solid stands for robustness, functionality and authenticity and conveys a sense of security and strength. The Elroq, with its distinctive shape and functional, minimalist and clean appearance, is the perfect car to debut this new approach to Škoda design.”
The headlights feature slim lines and a minimalist, bold design: they reinterpret the typical face of the four-eyed Škoda SUV and use LED technology exclusively. The profile is characterised by an arc starting at the aerodynamically optimised A-pillar and extending to a gently sloping roofline that seamlessly merges into a spoiler with fins above the tailgate. The good aerodynamics, with a drag coefficient of just 0.26, is the result of many design touches, including specially stylised exterior mirrors.
Just like the exterior, the interior of the Elroq is characterised by a simple design intended to maximise roominess. Headroom is 1,056 millimetres in the front and 990 millimetres in the rear. The model has a 13-inch central display for infotainment and digital instrumentation. With this model, the manufacturer places special emphasis on innovative, sustainable, durable and practical materials. The base model Studio Design Selection features a simple interior with black fabric seats. In the Loft Design Selection, contrast stitching in moss green adds fresh accents to the interior, which is dominated by anthracite grey.
