Chery Automobile unveiled its vision of tomorrow’s mobility with the New Journeo concept car. The vehicle has a futuristic look and combines technology, sustainability and careful design. The New Journeo was designed in Germany by the thirty-strong team working at the Chery Advanced Design Centre in Raunheim with the desire to explore the world of robust vehicles with good off-road capabilities but at the same time able to offer comfort and luxury for family travel.

The exterior of the Adventure Van is characterised by a boxy design, highlighted by an imposing panoramic rear window and graphics that play with geometric patterns. The design language combines round and square shapes, soft surfaces and stiffer panels, creating a balance of contrasting elements. Contributing to the dynamism are the floating A and C-pillars, while the roof features a large roof rack.

Among the special features of the interior is the rear bench that can be extended by 40 centimetres to provide more space for relaxation. Once extended, the rear can be opened completely, transforming the passenger compartment into a spacious and luxurious lounge area with an unobstructed view through the glass of the tailgate. The panoramic rear window has a surface area of 1.3 m² and allows passengers to enjoy a breathtaking view: whether parked by the sea or overlooking a mountain range, this feature is designed to turn every stop into an experience.

There is also a multifunctional, modular front luggage compartment with variable seating, a mobile kitchen and a barbecue. The door inserts can be removed to turn them into cushions that can be placed wherever you like, inside or outside the vehicle. The Journeo’s modular boot is designed to be versatile: it can be converted into a bench seat or used as a compartment for a mobile kitchen, barbecue or additional storage space.
