Kia revealed the exterior design of the EV4, in both sedan and hatchback versions, ahead of the brand’s second EV Day. Developed to increase the attractiveness of Kia’s electric range, the model features a modern design and advanced technologies: ‘The Kia EV4 is a clear reflection of our commitment to rethink mobility and expand the boundaries of what design can achieve. By offering the EV4 in two variants, sedan and hatchback, we are offering our customers the unique experience of modernity and practicality that characterises Kia’s EV family, capable of adapting to different lifestyles and responding to a variety of needs,’ said Karim Habib, Executive Vice President and Head of Kia Global Design.
Designed applying the principles of Kia’s ‘Opposites United’ design philosophy, the EV4 develops the harmony resulting from contrasting elements in a way never seen before in the compact segment. The distinctive styling cues of this design philosophy can be found in the vehicle’s dynamic contours, which combine sharp, distinctive lines with bold technical details.
Every detail of the EV4 design expresses a personality that goes beyond traditional canons. According to the statement, with both the EV4 sedan and EV4 hatchback, Kia’s design approach ensures that both models are equally at home on urban roads or cross-continental adventures. ‘In this unprecedented sedan interpretation, EV4 comes with a low, elegant front end and a sleek silhouette. The EV4 hatchback, on the other hand, is agile and versatile. Distinctive and clean, it is designed to stand out in all conditions,’ concluded Habib.
