Compact, safe and surprisingly comfortable, the new Duo redefines Renault’s concept of urban mobility
Mobilize Duo is the Renault Group’s most concrete attempt to redefine the concept of urban mobility. More than a car, it is a micro-architecture on wheels designed for those who live in the city every day. With its 2.43 meters in length and lightweight construction made of recycled materials, Duo faces traffic like a fish in water, agile and easy to park anywhere. The central driving position offers a privileged point of view, while the suspension, designed to absorb the roughness typical of the urban environment, returns surprising comfort for a quadricycle.
Ideal for the city
It is a vehicle that moves well between traffic lights and pedestrian crossings, sprints quickly at traffic lights and proceeds silently in historic centers. In the city, its natural terrain, the drive is intuitive, brilliant and immediate. However, Duo does not give up on the technological side and security. It is the only vehicle in its segment to offer a driver’s airbag as standard, combined with belts with pretensioners and load limiters. The structure is reinforced, the Fireman Access allows quick intervention in case of emergency and the stability of the frame guarantees predictable behavior at all times.
Simple design
The design takes up the codes of functional simplicity: raw plastic surfaces, vertically opening doors, washable interiors and boombox dashboard connected via smartphone. With more than 40% recycled materials and 95% reusable components, Duo interprets sustainability not as an exercise in style, but as an integral part of the project.
Up to 160 km of autonomy
The 10 kWh battery promises a range of about 160 km while recharging can only take place with the Shuko socket and is completed in just over 8 hours. There are two power levels: 8 and 16 hp and the top speed goes from 45 km/h to 80 km/h. The first can be driven from 14 years old, the second from 16. Prices start at 9,990 euros.
