Young designer Edoardo Terribilini has won the first edition of the Kia Designers Award, the contest aimed at young designers who are given the opportunity to liaise with leading figures in the industry to experiment with new creative paths, leaving maximum freedom to inspiration. During the opening evening of Milan Fashion Week at the Fashion Hub at the ADI Design Museum, the President of Camera Nazionale Moda Italiana (CNMI) Carlo Capasa and the Marketing Communication &CRM; Director of Kia Italia, Giuseppe Mazzara presented the award to Edoardo Terribilini.

Edoardo Terribilini is 23 years old, is Italian and was born and raised in Switzerland. Fascinated from an early age by the world of fashion and its languages, he attended vocational high school as a textile designer and then continued his studies at Polimoda in Florence, where he is currently in his final year. In 2022, he won the Oif Bunka Fashion Award scholarship, thanks to which he began collaborating with numerous designers and brands, including Max Mara. Last year, he was also one of the winners of the ‘Feel the Yarn’ award at Pitti Uomo.

The collaboration between Kia Italia and Camera Nazionale Moda Italiana (CNMI), which began earlier this year, reached its climax with the fashion week that opened yesterday with the presentation to the public of the Kia Designers Award, the contest aimed at rewarding young talents in the fields of fashion and design. The technical jury made up of Giuseppe Angiolini, Silvia Baruffaldi, Chiara Bottoni, Giuanluca Cantaro, Fabiana Giacomotti, Lee Hyeju, Giuseppe Mazzara and Annagreta Panconesi, selected six finalists who, after being tutored by established professionals in the sector, identified by CNMI, were able to give voice to their creativity by designing outfits that combine originality and innovation. The six finalists selected were: Edoardo Terribilini, Camilla Ruggerini, Gianluca Regazzo, Lei Ann Orsi, Francesco Matera and DassùYAmoroso.
