The Alpine A390 was created with one goal in mind: driving pleasure. Alpine’s sporty fastback takes the brand’s DNA and the exhilarating driving experience of the A110, while adding versatility. The A390 can be summed up as a racing car with a design that fits it like a tailor-made suit; Racing car in a suit. “Someone once said that life begins at 70, and that could be true for Alpine with the arrival of this second model from the Dream Garage, one of seven electric models planned by 2030,” said Luca de Meo, CEO of Groupe Renault. An elegant sporty fastback with a surprising personality, the A390 combines the fluidity and sportiness of its iconic lines with a welcoming cabin for its five passengers. It boasts generous dimensions, unprecedented for an Alpine, while remaining compact: 4.6 meters long, 1.88 meters wide and 1.52 meters high.

Its coupé proportions boast a visor-shaped rear window and compact glass surfaces that contribute to its compact appearance. Then, a second level of interpretation reveals the sculpted line that animates the rear doors with integrated handles, as well as the precision of the work on the shoulders of the body, the reflections and volumes, and the blade of the bonnet that lets the air pass through to channel the aerodynamic flows. Every detail can be admired, such as the front bumpers with triangular shapes inspired by mountains, which incorporate openings that create air curtains. Other elements characterise its unique light signature. At the front, a group of illuminated triangles, called “Cosmic Dust”, evokes a comet piercing the atmosphere. When the driver approaches the vehicle, it comes to life in a welcome sequence. A projection of the Alpine logo, surrounded by snowflakes, also faces sideways at ground level.

“This car offers a unique silhouette, expressing the dynamic behavior of our fastback sports car. It features many elements of our A390_β show car and its light signature draws direct inspiration from the Alpine Alpenglow concept and the A424 hypercar competing in the World Endurance Championship,” said Anthony Villain, Alpine VP Design. The cockpit is driver-oriented, with 12.3-inch and 12-inch high-definition screens facing the driver to immerse them in the Alpine universe. Physical climate control allows the driver to adjust settings without taking their eyes off the road. The heated sports steering wheel is covered in Nappa Bleu leather and features a flat bottom and a center dot. It integrates controls for the driving modes, driver assistance, telephone, voice assistant and instrument cluster display modes.
