At the 2025 Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este, the renowned celebration of historic vehicles on the shores of Lake Como in Italy, BMW unveiled a new exclusive concept car that will later be available for purchase in a limited series. The Concept Speedtop reinterprets the sporty Touring, blending the elegance of a shooting brake with unique proportions.
“A true BMW exudes dynamism and elegance even when stationary,” says Adrian van Hooydonk, head of design at the BMW Group. “And this is also the case with our new concept car. The Speedtop Concept is characterized first and foremost by its profile. It is unique in the automotive industry. In this way, we have created an exclamation mark for our entire range of vehicles, especially for the Touring models.”
The pronounced V-shape of the front end with the shark nose design, slim front lights and illuminated kidney grille give the Speedtop Concept an unmistakable presence. The continuation of the central ridge from the bonnet on the roof to the rear spoiler gives the car a dynamic touring profile. The color gradation on the roof, which changes from “Floating Sunstone Maroon” to “Floating Sundown Silver”, accentuates this shape. The athletic design is enhanced by the car’s wide shoulders. Its elegance is underlined by the two-tone, 14-spoke wheels, which have been designed specifically for the concept car.
The interior of the BMW Concept Speedtop has been designed with a strong focus on even the smallest details. Traditional brogue-style details accentuate the leather-covered surfaces and underline the craftsmanship. The two-tone color and material concept creates a connection between exterior and interior. The shimmering brown tone of the exterior paint “Floating Sunstone Maroon” is echoed inside. Here, the brown world “Sundown Maroon” harmonizes with the light “Moonstone White” of the seats. The two-tone leather upholstery divides the dynamic and functional areas of the interior. The visually appealing roof ridge on the outside is reflected as a beam of light in the two-tone leather roof lining, providing atmospheric and indirect illumination.
