Cadillac’s concept car portfolio grows with the new Elevated Velocity electric crossover. The model embodies the essence of the American luxury brand in the bold form of a 2+2 crossover designed to thrill both on and off the road, while previewing several styling elements that we will see on future Cadillacs. The Elevated Velocity combines extreme performance, advanced technology, and high levels of craftsmanship. It offers a dual experience with a stunning look and refined interior that elevates the mood of its occupants (hence the name Elevated), but its raised platform is calibrated to entertain drivers even off-road. The exterior has character, and the sleek profile has been designed to optimize the car’s aerodynamic efficiency without sacrificing the imposing appearance typical of American cars.
Elevated Velocity echoes the elegant proportions Cadillac has achieved on the Celestiq and Lyriq cars. According to Cadillac, the car seeks to strike a sculptural and technical balance that will serve as inspiration for future production vehicles. The exterior emphasizes speed by integrating a 2+2 seating configuration into a crossover body. It features a Vapor Blue exterior with ice-inspired gray accents, contrasting with a fiery red interior, further exemplifying the extreme nature of the concept’s performance. The blue theme continues on the windshield, rear window, and side windows.
The cabin has been designed to be elegant and functional, allowing for an uncompromising lifestyle that is refined and luxurious, yet equally suited to on-road and off-road driving. The colors, materials, and finishes of the interior have been specially selected for their ambitious yet highly functional design, helping to optimize the occupant experience. The interior is composed of a variety of quality materials ranging from smooth coated surfaces, embossed grains, bouclé fabric, colored acrylic, and glass.
