Audi presented the Concept C in Milan, a two-seater electric roadster that will go into production in 2027. This is a key model for the German manufacturer, the first to be designed by Massimo Frascella, Audi Chief Design Officer, and his team, which also has the task of presenting itself as the brand’s new stylistic manifesto. Measuring 4.5 meters in length, the Concept C aims to be a paradigm of essentiality, combining purity of form, precision, and solidity. The stylistic tension is generated by solid surfaces intersected by a single line: the very essence of architecture.

The entire volume of the car originates from the unprecedented vertical frame that dominates the front. A stylistic element inspired by the legendary 1936 Auto Union Type C and the third generation of the 2004 Audi A6. A modern interpretation of Audi’s heritage that enhances the elegance of the rings. The powerful shoulder line is accompanied by proportions favored by the central location of the battery. The passenger compartment extends towards the rear axle, while the electrically operated retractable hardtop is a first for a roadster from the four rings. Featuring a two-piece structure, it combines the versatility of an open-air car with the clean lines typical of a monolithic coupé-style body. At the rear, the purity of the forms is accompanied by the muscularity of the horizontal flares.

The Audi Concept C introduces a new light signature with four horizontal elements. This solution is shared by the front and rear light clusters, making the car instantly recognizable. The warm and engaging “Titanium” paint finish is inspired by the sheen of the metal of the same name, a symbol of lightness and strength. The interior features clean, architecturally inspired surfaces and sharp geometric shapes that ensure generous space for both occupants, with the driver slightly offset towards the center of the car. Made of anodized aluminum, the physical controls provide a tactile experience that reflects the high quality of the car and is accompanied by the unmistakable “Audi click” with its haptic feel.

The steering wheel is the centerpiece of the Audi Concept C interior experience: its round shape, physical controls, and Audi metal rings are emblematic of precision engineering. Every material contributes to the purity of the interior. The color palette, consistent with the exterior design, is inspired by titanium with tone-on-tone solutions. The indirect ambient lighting uses natural gradations that emphasize the sharpness of the shapes. The Concept C embodies the values of Audi’s new design philosophy: Clear (simplicity and purity), Technical (there is no excellence without precision), Intelligent (exploring the extremes to open up new horizons), Emotional (any design philosophy must be an emotion, an interpretation of understatement that takes your breath away).
