Stellantis Design Studio has embarked on a new collaboration with sustainable catamaran manufacturer Windelo and naval architects Barreau-Neuman. In partnership with naval architects Barreau-Neuman, Stellantis Design Studio has reimagined the proportions of the Windelo 62 and Windelo 58 catamarans, offering a perfect combination of dynamic performance and exceptional comfort. The design of the new Windelo 62 and Windelo 58 features a bold yet dynamic hull silhouette that emphasizes the boat’s performance capabilities while elegantly integrating living spaces for everyday use.
“Our collaboration with Windelo has been an exciting experience, in which we have translated the bold and dynamic inspiration of automotive proportions into the marine environment,” said Hugo Nightingale, Creative Director of Stellantis Design Studio. “The Windelo 62 and Windelo 58 catamarans represent the perfect synergy between our experience in pushing the boundaries of design and Windelo’s commitment to performance and sustainability.”
The hallmark of this collaboration is the 360 Horizon Cabin concept, a revolutionary restyling that enhances the pleasure of sailing and life on board. Visually, the concept features a “floating roof” with an invisible glass frame and an open cockpit/deck layout, offering a 360° view of the exciting horizon, free from obstacles. This sense of openness and connection with the environment extends to the lower cabins, through greater visibility and spaciousness that increases comfort. Visually, the innovative approach is also evident in the floating wing rear deck, which expands the boat’s appearance, improves access to the upper cabin, and optimizes visibility from the lower aft cabins.
