At the Japan Mobility Show 2025, Mazda presented two visionary models, the Vision X-Coupe and the Vision X-Compact: both embody the theme “The joy of driving fuels a sustainable tomorrow” conceived by the Japanese company for 2035. The Vision X-Coupe embodies the evolution of the “Kodo-Soul of Motion” design language.

The car is powered by a plug-in hybrid system that combines a rotary turbo engine with an electric motor and battery. Eye-catching features include its coupe styling and old-style grand tourer proportions, with a minimalist, tech-oriented interior. The coupe is powered by a plug-in hybrid system that combines a twin-rotor rotary turbo engine with an electric motor and battery. With a maximum power output of 510 horsepower, the vehicle offers a range of 160 kilometers in electric-only mode and up to 800 kilometers in combined mode with the combustion engine.

Mazda also presented the other side of its vision for the cars of the future. It is called Vision X Compact and is a car designed to strengthen the bond between people and cars through the fusion of a human sensory digital model and empathetic artificial intelligence. The Vision X Compact, as its name suggests, is a cute compact car designed to move nimbly around the cities of the future. In this case, AI acts as a travel companion and is able to engage in natural conversation and suggest destinations, helping to broaden the driver’s world.
