Kia unveiled the new Seltos with a world premiere entitled “The Protagonist.” The B-segment SUV represents Kia’s vision for a versatile compact SUV that combines bold design, smart solutions, and connectivity. Developed by Karim Habib’s design team according to the principles of the Opposites United design philosophy, the Seltos embodies the spirit of Relentless Innovator—harmonizing the forms of a robust and capable SUV with stylistic details that express modern and refined elegance. Its road presence, clean surfaces, and structured forms communicate capability and confidence.
The front features a large grille embellished with the brand’s Star Map light signature and dynamic sequence welcome lights. The door handles are concealed for improved aerodynamics and enhanced stylistic refinement. On the side, the diagonal lines combined with the sinuous profile of the roof and side edges create a silhouette that conveys dynamism both in motion and at a standstill. Contrasting trim and satin silver accents emphasize the car’s robustness. The vertical rear lights extend across the entire width of the tailgate, highlighting width and stability.
The interior of the Seltos has been designed to meet the ever-changing needs of modern mobility, whether it’s commuting to work, family trips, or trips out of town. The low, horizontal dashboard improves forward visibility and creates a feeling of openness, while the optimized dimensions ensure ample head and leg room for all passengers. The adoption of Shift-by-Wire (SBW) has created a more spacious environment and improved functionality. A minimalist layout and high-quality materials emphasize the modern, comfort-oriented environment.
