JAS Motorsport will revive an automotive icon with Pininfarina. The model will be based on the 1990 Honda NSX and will offer enthusiasts and collectors a new and modern definition of the Gran Turismo concept at the heart of the NSX’s DNA: high performance, safety, and comfort on the road, but equally at home on the track. The bodywork, designed by Pininfarina, will be made entirely of carbon fiber and completed on the basis of a donor car—a production NSX from the early 1990s with left- or right-hand drive, depending on the market—with equally refined mechanical elements derived from the world of racing.
Pininfarina has also transferred its historic ability to blend beauty and functionality to the interior of JAS Motorsport’s first high-performance road car. Starting from the layout of the first NSX series, the restyling has enhanced the original philosophy announced at its debut in 1990, while the engine will be a V6 inspired by the original NSX. It has been specifically designed and developed to achieve maximum power, torque, and responsiveness. It is paired with a 6-speed manual transmission with the aim of enhancing performance, dynamic behavior, and driving excitement.
