March saw the start of the “Advanced Design and Intelligent Mobility” course, which until next July will involve 18 students from IED – Istituto Europeo di Design, enrolled in the second year of the Master in Transportation Design. The class will be led by 10 professional designers from the team of ICONA Design Group, a global design company headquartered in Turin and present in Shanghai, Los Angeles, Tokyo, Dubai and, as of this year, in New Zealand.

By deepening its knowledge of Advanced Design and Intelligent Mobility, within the Master in Transportation Design, IED responds to the growing demand of the automotive industry, which, faced with developments arising from changes in urban areas, territory, habits and transports, needs professionals capable of designing the complex and articulated ecosystem in which the mobility of the future will take place, i.e. smart cities. To do so, the Istituto Europeo di Design has relied on a team of professionals from the Turin-based company, who will transfer to the students their multidisciplinary approach, which is fundamental to imagine and realize new forms of mobility. The Icona Design Group designers will thus transmit the experience gained from the management of concrete projects, supporting the young generations towards an educational path that can respond concretely to the needs of the future.
