DeLorean has shown on its social channels the first image of the EVolved developed together with Italdesign, the heir of the legendary DMC-12 designed by Giorgetto Giugiaro in 1981. The new DeLorean will be 100% electric with a powertrain made by Williams Advanced Engineering and will be presented on August 18 at Pebble Beach, California.

The image of the rear shows squared lines and a full-width LED headlight, while the DeLorean logo has been redesigned with softer, more modern fonts and looks backlit. Like the original, the EVolved will also have gull-wing doors, while the technical details of the powertrain have not yet been communicated. The EVolved could exploit the Evx modular platform of Williams Advanced Engineering with the battery pack installed in the floorpan with structural function and two engines.
