As of 1 April 2023, Carsten Monnerjan, Head of Design at Italdesign, will be the new Head of Design at Porsche Lifestyle Group, taking over from Roland Heiler, who is nearing retirement. “We would like to thank Carsten Monnerjan for his years of passion for the automotive world and new product worlds spent together with our team. With a degree in Science and Transport from the ArtCenter College of Design in Vevey, Switzerland, Monnerjan started his career in 1993 as Exterior Designer at the Audi Konzept Design Studio in Munich. In 1995 he moved to Spain to Volkswagen’s Design Center Europe in Sitges, working on production and concept car projects for the Group’s various brands. Five years later he became Head of Interior Design at Seat, overseeing the production of models and prototypes. Monnerjan returned to Audi in 2003, heading Audi AG’s Interior Design department in Ingolstadt, where he was responsible for both production and concept car interiors, contributing to the creation of the brand’s new design language. In 2008 he was appointed Head of Concept Design at the Audi Konzept Studio in Munich, where he worked with his team on Transportation and Product Design.
