The idea of building Kia’s most iconic and revolutionary model of all time on a 1:1 scale with 350,000 LEGO bricks marries the emotional dimension of the car by emphasising it and at the same time conveying the concept that brick by brick the future of mobility is being built. The end result is a very special and exciting work, also because it includes original details of the great personality of the Kia EV6 such as the light clusters, true jewels with a strong identity, thanks to a now iconic light signature, but also for the particular surfaces with accentuated inclinations, an expression of refined design.
The work required more than 800 hours of work and was commissioned by Kia to BrickVision, a company in Reggio Emilia founded by Riccardo Zangelmi, Italy’s first and only Lego® Certified Professional. Zangelmi has managed to turn his childhood passion for LEGO® bricks into a successful business. For EV6 Brick To The Future, Zangelmi’s team spent four months working on a functioning lighting system to ensure the EV6’s strongly characterising luminous personality in every circumstance in which Brick To The Future will be displayed, emphasising and interpreting the uniqueness of the revolutionary 100% electric crossover.
