Fiat has released the first image of the Topolino, an electric quadricycle derived from the Citroen Ami. The small zero-emission car was designed by the Fiat style centre led by Francois Leboine and is expected to be unveiled in the coming months. The design of the Topolino is reminiscent of the 1957 Fiat 500, designed by Dante Giacosa and whose forms have become immortal.

The model in the published image has no doors or other side covers, while the headlights are circular and the canvas roof can be opened, like the original. The quadricycle should be about 2.5 metres long. According to the Turin-based manufacturer, the Topolino wants to contribute to the expansion of urban electric mobility and bring all the optimism of its namesake into an affordable, all-electric version that encapsulates all the ‘coolness’ and charm of the Fiat 500.
