Kia’s family of EV electric vehicles is gradually expanding to encompass all market segments. The latest addition is the EV5, a mid-size SUV announced almost three years ago and now finally making its market debut. The car offers a unique reinterpretation of the style of other models from the Korean manufacturer.

It has a boxy look which, thanks to a clever interplay between the various surfaces, creates a muscular and dynamic impression, with a captivating three-dimensional effect, especially on the side. The interior design is consistent with the bodywork. The dashboard features enveloping shapes, and the strongly vertical trim conveys a sense of robustness. From the driver’s seat, the familiar three-monitor panel is visible: one display is for the instrument panel, the others are for climate control and the infotainment system. Overall, the perceived quality is high thanks to the use of premium materials and precise assembly.

With a length of 4.61 meters and a generous wheelbase, the Kia EV5 offers plenty of space for its occupants: even five people can travel without any compromises. The generous interior space is complemented by a trunk with a capacity of 566 liters and a useful frunk. The Kia EV5 arrives in Italy in just one mechanical variant (at least for now), with front-wheel drive and 217 hp. It has a range of 505 to 530 km, depending on the trim, and can charge its battery up to 80% in 30 minutes. On the road, the car is comfortable and well-insulated, responsive and surprisingly agile, thanks to its very low center of gravity, which makes direction changes smoother even on winding roads.

A similar dynamic temperament is also offered by the Kia PV5, a new MPV available in both van and passenger versions, which uses the same platform as the EV5 and also has similar dimensions, at 4.7 meters long. Awarded Van of the Year 2026, it is available in numerous variants, all sharing unparalleled versatility and a refined, highly distinctive design. It is precisely its aesthetics that make this electric vehicle unique in the current landscape. The front end is unmistakable, while the side view reveals generous glass surfaces that flood the cabin with light. Completing the look is the two-tone paint scheme, offered as standard across the entire range.
