Jeep will unveil a 7 places plug in hybrid concept car at Shanghai Auto Show 2017. The SUV will be called Jeep Yuntu and, referring to the rendering, it has an exterior design characterized by straight lines and edges with a typical Jeep front end. The grille, according to the spirit of the brand, remains at seven slots and is enclosed between two thin LED headlights.

Further down you see some typical element of the “Trailhawk” line, which equips today’s versions of the Jeep’s more challenging off-road vehicles, as the towing hook and the underbody aluminium protection. On the side we find straight lines and squared fenders. Behind the front wheel the written PHEV is a sign of a plug-in hybrid powertrain.

At the rear square lines are embellished by LED headlamps developed horizontally. The rear window is large with a small spoiler on the top and, between the exhausts, we find the aluminium protection. The Yuntu remains a real jeep but with more ecological characteristics thanks to the new powertrain.
