On the occasion of the 57th edition of Salone del Mobile, NABA presents “Leaving Room”, a prototype as a reflection on habitation in motion and moving while dwelling. The project, born from the investigation on the potential offered by self-driving, represents a cultural leap in the idea of transport and refueling: the city slows down and in return offers fluidity, sustainability and the ability to use travel time in a useful and pleasant way. The prototype will be displayed during the Milan Design Week from April 17th to 22nd with Repower, an international company operating in the energy industry for more than 100 years.
“Leaving Room” affirms the approach of NABA to explore contemporary issues and their contribution in offering solutions to practical needs born from new scenarios. Leaving Room has been designed thanks to the collaboration and supervision of a group of professionals, including Italo Rota, Scientific Advisor, Dante Donegani, Architect and Course Leader of NABA MA in Product Design, Valerio Sommella, Industrial Designer and NABA Teacher and Tianshu Shi, Product Designer, former NABA student and Teacher.
