The 40th anniversary exhibition, which can be visited at the MAUTO, describes a journey spanning four decades, the ‘Eighties, ‘Nineties, 2000’s and 2010’s, showing how our work has changed since the magazine was founded to the present day, in parallel with how the world of car design has evolved. Time passes, people and technologies change, but the constant remains the story of the project: the “Design stories” that have characterised every issue of Auto&Design since 1979, with interviews with designers and original materials illustrating the pages. And again, the analysis of trends, reports of the most significant events, our relationship with the specialised schools that train the designers of tomorrow. To make the story even more gripping, we are also showing some of the subjects featured in the stories published over these forty years, so as to offer the public the rare opportunity to see them “in the flesh”.
