Fifth model in the Genesis range, Hyundai’s premium brand, the GV70 is a compact Suv with dynamic shapes. Like other lineup models, the car is based on the rear-wheel drive platform and will also be available with all-wheel drive. Inspired by the design philosophy of the “Athletic Elegance”, the GV70 is characterised by a sporty and powerful appearance. The GV70’s front end design features the Crest Grille, which takes shape from the Genesis logo, positioned lower than the Quad Lamps to reflect the Suv’s athletic nature, while the two-line Quad Lamps evoke a sense of speed and dynamism. “This model opens up a new playing field for Genesis through purity and maximum stylistic execution,” says SangYup Lee, Senior Vice President and Head of Global Genesis Design.

In the side view, the GV70 has an elegant profile. The arched parabolic line, which starts at the top of the headlamps and runs elegantly along the side, creates an impact contrast with the muscular rear wings. The roof line descends quickly towards the C-pillar, as does the coupé, accentuating the dynamism. At the rear, the headlights feature the “Quad Light” signature light, while all functional elements are embedded in the bumper, contributing to clean, pure shapes.

The interior of the GV70 shows the characteristics of the elegant South Korean architectural philosophy called “Beauty of White Space”. This stylistic language is based on creating an airy environment through the passage of light from large glass surfaces and a minimalist and rational distribution of controls. In the centre of the dashboard, floating, is the large display to control the infotainment system, lower down the air conditioning controls. In front of the driver a second screen transmits the digital instrumentation.
