The new Dacia Sandero and Sandero Stepway change from top to bottom. The Sandero Streetway’s new exterior design combines modernity and robustness. If the overall proportions have been retained, it is to give continuity to the formula for its success: a restrained external structure and ever greater roominess, for greater versatility. With its marked shoulders and wheel arches, the Sandero Streetway exudes a strong personality and shows off its robustness.
However, the overall line is more fluid thanks to the more sloping windscreen and the sloping roofline with the radio antenna located on the end. Although the ground clearance is unchanged, the Sandero Streetway seems lower and more firmly planted on the ground, mainly thanks to its wider track and new wheels. The front and rear light clusters unveil Dacia’s new Y-shape light signature. At the front and rear, a horizontal line connects the two light clusters, continuing the respective LED light lines and helping to make the model’s nose look wider.
The styling revolution has also affected the crossover version, the Sandero Stepway. Both outside and inside, the incisive design is a clear reference to leisure and adventure. The image and crossover DNA of the New Sandero Stepway are accentuated by greater differentiation compared to the New Sandero. Sandero Stepway is easily recognizable at the front thanks to the specific, ribbed and more domed bonnet, the chrome Stepway logo under the radiator grille and the domed fins above the fog lights. The front and rear bumpers include body-dyed metal-coloured protective skirts that retain their original colour despite scratches from everyday use.
The cabin of the two models has taken a big step forward in terms of design, quality, finish and materials. On the richer versions, the interior features an 8-inch central display from which the infotainment system can be controlled. On the other hand, for the basic versions, the Dacia design team has come up with a simple and innovative solution: a box into which you can insert your smartphone, which, thanks to a dedicated application, will be transformed into the Sandero’s multimedia system.
