Martin Uhlarik has been appointed as the new head of global design at Tata Motors. The designer assumes his new role after serving as head of styling at the Tata Motor European Technical Centre and takes over from Pratap Bose who, according to the Indian manufacturer, has decided to pursue other opportunities outside the company. Uhlarik will continue to operate from the TMETC in the UK and will lead the teams in Tata’s three style centres in Coventry (UK), Turin (Italy) and Pune (India).

Uhlarik joined Tata Motors in 2016 and led the development of the Impact 3 generation of vehicles. “Martin Uhlarik is a highly experienced designer with deep knowledge in various areas including international trends,” said Guenter Butschek, CEO of Tata Motors. Uhlarik will continue to operate from TMETC in the UK.
