SsangYong has released some sketches showing a preview of the design of the next-generation X200 SUV. According to the statement, the new car ushers in the brand’s vision and styling philosophy, presenting the value and future direction of its new products. “The design of the new X200 is based on SsangYong’s new “Powered by Toughness” philosophy and follows up on our recently announced J100 mid-size electric car,” said Lee Kang, head of the SsangYong Design Centre.

The new design philosophy is based on four concepts, “Robust Architecture,” “Unexpected Delight,” “Vibrant Contrast,” and “Communion with Nature.” “Of these four elements of sculptural identity, Robust Architecture pursues the beauty of structural form the sculptural beauty that comes from the details. “Unexpected Delight” appeals to the union of different lifestyles. “Vibrant Contrast” expresses the characteristics of a Robust SUV through contrasting aesthetic elements of color and texture, while “Communion with Nature” intends the creation of a connection with the natural world, echoing the sensibilities of our customers,” says Lee Kang, head of the SsangYong Design Centre.
