On the occasion of the celebration of the 100th anniversary of the Lingotto, the historic Fiat factory in Turin, the Turin-based manufacturer has released two images (interior and exterior) of a model that will arrive in 2024. The shape of the car will be inspired by the Lingotto itself. Among the new features is a return to the old 1980s logo, obviously restyled.
In the interior, the centre console element recalls the layout of the legendary Lingotto race track, while in the exterior we find a circularity that refers to it. “The Lingotto became a manifesto for the Fiat of the future 100 years ago, so much so that it has inspired designers, artists, architects of the calibre of Le Corbusier and ordinary people. It will continue to remain important to our herigate, inspiring the shapes of our next models,” said Fiat CEO Olivier Francois. The model is expected to be an electric citycar, will it be the heir to the legendary Panda?
