Kia presented at the brand’s EV Day, in Tarragona, Spain, the new EV4 and the Concept EV2, a compact and agile B-segment SUV, created as a preview of a production model that will allow users to experience urban spaces in new and more engaging ways. Both proposals were created to meet the demands of those users who are sensitive to lifestyle and eager to experiment with new technologies, also to improve productivity in their daily lives and, at the same time, make conscious choices.

The Concept EV2 is immediately recognisable as part of the Kia EV family thanks to its design inspired by the stylistic course set by the EV9. The front end features a technical nose framed by vertical daytime running lights, conveying a sense of modernity, dynamism and a spirit of adventure. Kia’s distinctive Star Map lighting has no glass cover. Despite its compact and city-friendly dimensions, the Concept EV2’s vertical development reflects the car’s bold and sophisticated focus. The vehicle’s bumpers and lower elements offer a more robust appearance, highlighting the Concept EV2’s bold design and engaging personality.

Despite its compact size, the EV2 offers modular space thanks to its fold-down second-row seats. The agile B-segment SUV also includes features typically found in larger vehicle classes, including Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) technology and Over-the-Air (OTA) upgrades. Diagonal LED lighting on the front door panels accentuates the contrast between the front and rear spaces, creating a striking visual effect. This is complemented by triangular pattern lighting and a unique LED dashboard animation, which together create a relaxing and stimulating interior atmosphere.

The metal surface running along the underside of the car’s dashboard is a prominent design feature. The triangular design of this area also incorporates a wireless charger and power outlet, offering a three-function versatility that elevates the overall cabin experience. With no centre pillar and rear-hinged rear doors offering a wide opening, improving accessibility, occupants can also easily connect with the outside world. Likewise, once the doors are opened and the rear bench is raised, the front bench can slide back and be used as a place to relax.
