After more than forty years away from the market, a legendary name is returning to Lancia. The Stellantis Group brand has unveiled the first images of the new Gamma, now reborn as an SUV to meet market demand. The Lancia design center in Turin has chosen to characterize it with the brand’s stylistic elements, which were redefined first with the arrival of the Pu+Ra HPE concept car and then with the compact Ypsilon.

Designed, engineered, and developed in Italy, the New Lancia Gamma is produced at the Melfi plant, one of the Stellantis Group’s most advanced facilities. The first vehicles are already undergoing road testing: the project is now entering its final stages. Based on the STL Medium platform, the Gamma is a fastback crossover with sleek lines and a tapered rear, measuring 4.67 meters long, 1.89 meters wide, and 1.66 meters tall, designed, according to the company, to combine efficiency, functionality, and a strong road presence.

The front end reinterprets the historic Lancia grille, now projected into the future through three beams of light also found on the Ypsilon. The same design language is carried to the rear, featuring a full-width horizontal LED strip and a vertical light segment in the center. The Lancia logo is located on the C-pillar. The interior of the new Gamma features a central horizontal display, digital instrumentation, and the classic Lancia center console.
