Gerry McGovern, head of design at Jaguar Land Rover, joins the board of directors of the British group. The appointment was announced by Thierry Bollore, CEO of Jaguar Land Rover. McGovern was appointed Chief Creative Officer of Jaguar Land Rover in October 2020, a clear indication of the vital role that design leadership plays in the future of the group’s brands.
McGovern has played a key role in Land Rover’s styling transformation, overseeing models such as the 2010 Evoque, Discovery, Velar and the new Defender. “It is an honour to join the Jaguar Land Rover Board of Management, and to be given the opportunity to lead my team to creatively reimagine Jaguar and continue the Land Rover transformation. I remain convinced of the true value of Design in building brand equity, which also translates into the best experience for our customers,” commented Gerry McGovern.
