Nissan unveiled the new Juke, a compact crossover that will be available in a 100% electric version, at an event in Japan. Agile, compact, and featuring a disruptive design—much like the one that characterized the first generation of the model and ultimately led to its success—the new Juke, according to the company, brings personality and excitement to the era of electric vehicles, reinventing one of Europe’s most distinctive compact crossovers.

Since its launch in 2010, the model has attracted 1.5 million customers in Europe, redefining the compact crossover segment with its bold and unconventional design. The new generation builds on this legacy by introducing a fully electric powertrain, furthering Nissan’s journey toward zero-emission mobility.

The designers opted for a two-tone body to lend further dynamism to the model, which will be produced in Sunderland, UK, reinforcing the site’s central role in Nissan’s global strategy for electric vehicles. Already home to the Leaf and with the first phase of Juke production testing set to begin in the coming weeks, the Sunderland plant remains the cornerstone of Nissan’s electric vehicle manufacturing presence in Europe.
