Hyundai has unveiled the Staria, a new MPV model that will go on sale in the summer. The styling of Staria is completely new and is based on an ‘inside-out’ approach, a new design methodology that starts with the interior design and then moves on to the exterior. “Staria is our first model designed with the ‘inside-out’ design approach,” said SangYup Lee, Senior Vice President and Head of Global Hyundai Design.

The exterior of the MPV features a futuristic silhouette composed of pure, aerodynamic lines. The volumes are defined by a fluid curve that runs seamlessly from the front to the rear, inspired by the earthly horizon seen from space during the early hours of dawn. The front end is characterised by a single line of LEDs running across the entire width of the car. Further down we find the large radiator grille that also incorporates the headlights.

A peculiar feature of the profile is a particularly low beltline, a trick that allowed the designers to obtain large glass surfaces for greater interior lighting. The rear lights follow a vertical line. Oriented towards maximum spaciousness, the Staria’s interior offers various seating configurations. The car is offered in variants ranging from 2 to 11 seats.
