The LF-Z Electrified reveals the future intentions and the beginning of an era of evolution for the Japanese premium brand in the Toyota galaxy. Built on a platform designed exclusively for electric cars, the LF-Z Electrified incorporates driving performance, style and technologies that Lexus plans to bring to its production models by 2025.

The exterior design is sculpted to accentuate the emotional appeal and human connection of Lexus vehicles. The battery pack positioned in the floorpan and the electric motor installed at the rear have allowed the architecture to be developed with short overhangs. The front grille, which was once used to cool the engine and is a stylistic element that identifies Lexus, has retained its hourglass shape but its surface is solid and matching the bodywork.

To accentuate the sporty character, the designers opted for a steeply sloping roofline, while the beltline, which is decidedly high, rises up to the C-pillar. The rear is characterised by an aerodynamic fin in the centre of the rear window, while a spoiler and full-width lights are found at the bottom.

Inside, the space is open and minimalist. The designers followed the Tazuna concept that explains the relationship between horse and rider where commands are communicated through the use of the reins. Inside the LF-Z Electrified the controls have been concentrated in the driver’s area and the multimedia part forms a true cockpit oriented towards the driver. Access to the vehicle’s multimedia functions becomes intuitive and immediate, without having to move your line of sight and keeping your attention on the road.
