Toyota launches a contest dedicated to finding new solutions for urban micro-logistics. The aim is to simplify the flow of goods in urban environments for smooth, fast and flexible management of an ever-growing sea of parcels. How do we get goods into the city? How do we get them to the delivery points to further shorten supply chains? “Managing the staggering number of deliveries requires more flexible systems that interact with each other in a better way,” says Toyota.

The competition is open to university design students or people who have graduated this year from an accredited university. Applicants can apply individually or in a team of up to three members. The competition is organised by the Toyota Material Handling Europe Design Center, in close cooperation with Toyota Europe Design Development (ED2). Proposals must be submitted by 19 October 2021 and winners will be announced in 2022. Read more at https://tldc.toyota-forklifts.eu/ .
