As of 1 September 2021, Miles Nürnberger will be the new head of design for the Dacia and Lada brands. The designer also joins the management board of the Renault Group’s Romanian brand, reporting to Denis Le Vot, General Manager of Dacia and Lada, and Laurens van den Acker, Director of Design and member of the Board of Management of the Renault Group.

“We are very happy to welcome Miles Nürnberger to our team at such an important time for Dacia. Miles is a renowned designer who has inspired many people through his work at Aston Martin. His experience and passion for building strong brands through design will be an asset to our group and will help us propel Dacia into the future,” said Laurens van den Acker.

Miles Nürnberger comes to us from Aston Martin, a brand for which he has headed up design since 2018 and for which he has worked since 2008. He was, in particular, responsible for the design of DBX, Aston Martin’s first Suv, and the Valkyrie project, as well as the revamping of Lagonda as a 100% electric subsidiary, illustrated by Vision Concept in saloon and Suv versions. Before joining Aston Martin Lagonda, Miles Nürnberger was part of the team responsible for exterior design at Citroën. He took his first steps in the world of automotive design with Lincoln Ford Motor company. Born in 1976, Miles received a degree in automotive design from Coventry University in 1998. In 2009, he won the Concorso d’eleganza Villa d’Este Design Award with the One-77 concept.
