Subaru has announced that it has opened a website dedicated to the Solterra, its first electric suv developed together with Toyota whose arrival on the market is expected in 2022. According to what has been declared by the Japanese manufacturer, the collaboration with Toyota has been valid not only for the realization of the technical compartment, but also for design and the whole part of the project. Lines and contents of the interior and exterior recall in all respects those seen on the Toyota bZ4X.
In this development, the two companies have combined their respective strengths. Subaru has shared its know-how on all-wheel drive, while Toyota has provided its technologies on electrification. Solterra will join the Subaru Ascent, Outback, Forester and XV SUV lineup and will arrive in several markets including Japan, the United States, Canada, Europe and China.
