The third generation of the Range Rover Sport has arrived. When it first arrived in 2005, the goal was clear: to bring a new dynamism to the luxury SUV segment and a brand-new component to the Range Rover family. “Our latest Range Rover Sport fully embraces our modernist approach to vehicle design, while amplifying its undeniably sporty and confident character,” said Gerry McGovern, Chief Creative Officer, Jaguar Land Rover Group.

The new Range Rover Sport carries forward Range Rover’s minimalist styling philosophy, achieved through clean lines and taut surfaces. Its imposing presence and assertive appearance are enhanced by stealth headlights and grille that amplify the car’s dynamic character. Particularly noticeable in profile is the roofline that appears to float and gradually descends toward the rear, door handles that are flush with the body and a rising beltline with a hidden handrail finish.

“The new Range Rover Sport is dynamically purposeful, with striking proportions and volumes that offer a unique combination of refinement and dynamism,” comments Massimo Frascella, Land Rover Design Director. “Its balance of short, strong overhangs and striking proportions are entirely in keeping with the Range Rover family, enhanced by beautiful finishes and unique technical details.”

The lower front grille features a double opening, bisected by a horizontal body-colored element that enhances road presence. The interior of the new Range Rover Sport promotes luxury and refinement. The cabin offers a welcoming environment, with a sporty touch offered by a compact steering wheel, contoured seats and an elevated driving position that offers excellent visibility.

The quest for formal cleanliness also inspired the interior styling, crafted from premium materials and tech elements such as the 13.1-inch floating infotainment panel in the center of the dashboard. “The assertive presence of the new Range Rover Sport is reflected in the driving environment. The commanding driving position lends confidence, while the center console and high beltline envelop the driver. With the Pivi Pro technical infotainment screen and Interactive Driver Display for instrumentation now the Range Rover Sport is more engaging, refined and luxurious than ever,” said Lee Perry, Interior Design Manager.
